New Raising Cane's Eatery In Bel Air Opens Its Doors To Hundreds Of Hungry Fans Outside

The newest Raising Cane's has opened in Bel Air amid tons of fanfare and hundreds of hungry people, many who lined up the night before.

BEL AIR, MD — Raising Cane's celebrated its grand opening of the Bel Air restaurant this week. It's one of more than 950 Cane's eateries and sits at the former site of the Pete's Cycle Co.

Located at 336 Baltimore Pike, the Bel Air Raising Cane's offers the same menu as all the others including its signature chicken strips, crinkle cut fries, coleslaw and Texas toast.

Because the grand opening kicked off at 8 a.m. with a 9 a.m. ribbon cutting, more than 200 Raising Cane's fans lined up overnight for the Tuesday morning eatery's opening, starting as early as 7 p.m. Monday. Doors opened at 10 a.m. to flood of hundreds of hungry diners.

11 News spoke with Raising Cane's fan Bree Beanum who said she came from Virginia early on Monday in order to be the first in line Tuesday for the festivities. The very first person in line was honored with a special welcome from the restaurant crew and a one-of-a-kind gift basket.

"I'm getting the box combo, four fingers, so the chicken, extra crispy, the fries, extra crispy, the toast, buttered on both sides, with the Cane's sauce, with the sweet tea," Beanum told 11 News.

The first 20 guests in line were eligible to enter a drawing for free Cane's for a year and guests who purchased the first 100 combo meals received a free box combo card.

Located less than a mile from downtown Bel Air, the new restaurant features a double-lane drive-thru and local memorabilia decorating the interior, including tributes to local high schools and baseball legend Cal Ripken Jr.

The event also included a donation to the Brandon Tolson Foundation, a local nonprofit supporting families who have lost a child. The foundation was named in honor of Brandon Tolson, the cousin of Chad Tolson, an assistant restaurant leader at the new Bel Air location. Brandon tragically died in a car accident at age 20.

According to the company's website, the new Bel Air Raising Cane’s is open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight.
