I-95 Vehicle Fire Sparked Temporary Closure In Harford County
A vehicle fire shut down Interstate 95 in Harford County Saturday morning for those headed south.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A vehicle fire prompted closures on Interstate 95 in Harford County Saturday morning.
By 11:40 a.m., the charred vehicle had been moved to the left shoulder on I-95 south near MD 22, and all lanes had reopened.
The fire occurred after 11 a.m. on I-95 south near the exit for Route 22/Churchville Road.

To allow for the emergency response, officials said I-95 south was shut down in the area after 11:15 a.m. The left shoulder on I-95 north was also reportedly closed.
Firefighters appeared to have knocked the blaze by 11:20 a.m., according to traffic cameras.

As a result of the I-95 south shutdown, backups extended toward Havre de Grace.
