Jarrettsville House Fire Caused $200,000 In Damage: Fire Marshal
About 40 firefighters were called to this home in Harford County on July 4 to put out a house fire, investigators said.

BEL AIR, MD — A house fire caused $200,000 in damage in Jarrettsville on the Fourth of July, according to authorities.
A neighbor discovered the blaze, which began in a carport at the home in the 1300 block of West Jarrettsville Road, around 1:20 a.m. on Monday, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
The smoke alarm activated, and it took first responders about 20 minutes to bring the fire under control, officials said.

Crews from the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company and Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company were among the approximately 40 firefighters who responded to the call, according to officials.
Fire was showing when Bel Air firefighters arrived, and the fire company reported its personnel were at the scene for about two hours, including three engines, the quint and the chief.

Nobody was injured in the blaze, according to the fire marshal, who reported the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
