Lt. Paul Butrim Viewing Information In Bel Air
Visitation for Lt. Paul Butrim will be Thursday and Friday in Bel Air.

BEL AIR, MD — Visitation for one of three firefighters who died in Baltimore City last week will be held Thursday and Friday in Bel Air.
Lt. Paul Butrim, 37, was memorialized at a joint service Wednesday at the Baltimore Convention Center, alongside Lt. Kelsey Sadler and Paramedic/Firefighter Kenneth Lacayo.
All three died in a rowhouse fire on Jan. 24 in southwest Baltimore when the structure partly collapsed.

Butrim served the Baltimore City Fire Department for 16 years, Gov. Larry Hogan said at the service. He began as a firefighter and paramedic, working his way up the ranks.
In 2015, Butrim received an award "for bravery and valor," Hogan said, for going into a burning apartment building, rescuing a young child and performing CPR.

Visitation for Butrim will be 3–8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3, and 9 a.m.–1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 West MacPhail Rd., Bel Air, MD 21014.
Parking at the funeral home is reserved for the family of Butrim, according to the Bel Air Police Department.
Satellite parking will be being provided at 655 West MacPhail Road, with a shuttle from the lot to Schimunek Funeral Home.
Butrim lived in Colora, according to his obituary, which states he is survived by wife Rachel Butrim (nee Henninger); father Richard Butrim Sr.; siblings Cory Butrim and R.J. Butrim; in-laws Jeffrey and Michele Henninger; and John, Christie, Kaylee and Kaden Spiegel. He was preceded in death by son Nolan Reid Butrim.
People can make donations in Lt. Butrim's memory to the Plumpton Park Zoo and Kennedy Krieger Institute.
