A Maryland lawmaker will be on supervised probation and spend time in jail due to driving while impaired by alcohol last summer in Ocean City. Delegate Rick Impallaria, who represents parts of Baltimore and Harford counties, was sentenced this week to 60 days in jail, with all but two days suspended, according to court records.

A tip about a suspicious vehicle led to the arrest of an Odenton man who's wanted for murder in Oklahoma, according to the Anne Arundel County police. Jordan Batice Mitchell, 23, gave a false name to police after his arrest, but they identified him through his fingerprints. They discovered that police in Tulsa, Okla., had filed an arrest warrant against Mitchell for murder.
The Owings Mills Mall has been demolished, and it will soon be redeveloped into the third element of what Baltimore County Councilman Julian Jones called the "Triple Crown" for the area. Speaking before a packed house at the Owings Mills Library, Jones told his constituents that the mall site would complete the trifecta of attractions for the community, which also contains the Metro Centre at Owings Mills and Foundry Row.
The Chrysalis has officially opened. Designers and planners who had worked on the Chrysalis experienced the fruits of their labor as musicians performed within its carefully sculpted arches on opening day. Amps and lift capacity are built in, according to Michael McCall, founder of the Inner Arbor Trust, which oversaw its development.
