MD-24 Shut Down Due To Crash Involving Semi, Fuel Spill

A crash involving a tractor-trailer and suspected fuel spill shut down northbound MD-24 Tuesday morning near exit 77A.

According to the Harford County Fire and EMS, a crash unfolded around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday near exit 77A and involved a suspected fuel spill. The Hazmat team was called in to assist and northbound lanes of MD-24 remain closed.

EDGEWOOD, MD — The northbound lanes of MD-24 were shut down Tuesday morning after a crash involving a semi backed up traffic for miles.

According to the Harford County Fire and EMS, the incident happened around 10:45 a.m. near exit 77A and involved a suspected fuel spill. The Hazmat team was called in to assist.

Drivers were told to avoid the area this morning so crews could continue with clean-up efforts and police could investigate the incident.
