Mission BBQ Opens In Bel Air

BEL AIR, MD — A new barbecue restaurant has opened in Bel Air.

Mission BBQ began welcoming customers on Tuesday, Oct. 26, to its location at Tollgate Marketplace off US 1 and MD 24.

Known for its barbecue fare and patriotism, Mission BBQ offers menu items like pulled pork, spare ribs, brisket, mac and cheese and baked beans.

People order inside at the fast-casual restaurant and carry the food themselves to their seats.

Mission BBQ opened its first location on Sept. 11, 2011, in Glen Burnie and now has restaurants nationwide.

Around noon each day at all Mission BBQ locations, the restaurant plays the National Anthem, and people salute the flag.

At the new location in Bel Air, which used to house Pier 1, a 55-foot flagpole was installed at the corner of the property.

The Bel Air Mission BBQ is at 627 Bel Air Road in the Tollgate Marketplace.
