A skate park and second-hand clothing store have opened while a mobile pet care provider has launched its business.

MARYLAND — Pet lovers will be happy to know that a mobile pet care business has launched in Annapolis while a new skate park has opened in Baltimore County for skateboarders.

A second-hand clothing store has set up shop near White Marsh and Big Lots announced it will be closing three more stores in Maryland. In more heartwarming news, elementary students held a dance-a-thon to support their teacher's cancer treatment. There's still time to help.

Severn Elementary School hosted a dance-a-thon Tuesday for first-grade teacher Julie Moore. The fundraiser has collected $6,555 to treat Moore's stage 3 colorectal cancer. Community members can still donate to Moore's treatment fund at this link.

Uptown Cheapskate opened a discount used clothing store last Thursday in Middle River. Located in the Greenleigh area off White Marsh Boulevard, the store buys gently worn men's and women's clothes and sells them at reduced prices.

Big Lots Closing 3 More MD Stores Amid Bankruptcy, Sale: Report

Big Lots is closing another three Maryland stores amid its bankruptcy filing and sale, a Monday report said. Columbus Business First reported that the closeout retailer is shutting down another 46 locations nationwide, bringing the total closures to 496.
