While it is still early in the investigation, authorities say they believe Mondowney went into an apartment in the 1900 block of North Fountain Green Road, where he shot the victim multiple times "as a result of a dispute" he and the 23-year-old had.
Deputies responded to the apartment complex around 5:30 a.m. on Monday for a report of shots fired and found the victim had been shot multiple times in the upper body, according to the sheriff's office. He was pronounced deceased at the scene, officials said.
