Person Rescued After Falling Into Susquehanna River From I-95 Millard Tydings Bridge

An individual was rescued by emergency workers after falling into the Susquehanna River from the I-95 Millard Tydings Bridge, officials say.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Emergency crews were called to the I-95 Millard Tydings Bridge shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday after receiving a report that a person fell into the Susquehanna River.

According to Harford County Fire & EMS, the individual who fell into the water was successfully rescued and taken to a nearby waiting ambulance that then drove the patient to meet a Maryland State Police - Aviation Command helicopter at a landing zone to be flown to a hospital.

No information has been released yet about the patient’s condition or the circumstances leading up to the fall.
