Play Time! Plumtree Park Reopened

Plumtree Park in Bel Air has new equipment, new mulch and is again open to the public.

The playground at Plumtree Park was closed for renovations during the month of June, but now the park is once again open to visitors.

Steve Kline with Bel Air's department of public works told Patch crews put down mulch Monday as a finishing touch.

At least one family is glad the playground renovations are done.

Tina Strong and her 8-year-old daughter Olivia Strong walked to the playground from their Bel Air home Tuesday for a little evening fun in the park. Tina said she and her daughter visit the playground regularly.

"Oh my goodness she went crazy while it was under construction," Tina said.

Olivia, for her part, didn't take long to get used to the new equipment and even demonstrated her favorite for this Patch editor (see attached video).

There will be further enhancements made to the park before the project is over, but for now it's playtime at Plumtree Park.
