Possible Armed Man Barricades Himself Inside Apartment
Harford County sheriff's deputies are on the scene of a possible armed man who has barricaded himself inside an apartment.
BEL AIR, MD — During a routine maintenance call at an apartment located along Sablewood Road, Harford County sheriff's deputies were summoned to the area after a suspicious situation had been detected.
While investigating the situation, deputies discovered a potentially armed resident had barricaded himself inside. Residents were asked to avoid the area while deputies work to peacefully resolve the situation and several roads in and around the complex were shut down for the safety of deputies and residents, authorities stated.
At 5:14 p.m., the sheriff's office stated that the situation had been "peacefully resolved." The suspect left his apartment and was taken into custody. He does face charges, the sheriff's office stated.
