BALTIMORE — Ravens fans have not been shy about sharing their opinions after kicker Tyler Loop missed what would have been a 44-yard game-winning field goal as time expired Sunday, costing Baltimore a trip to the NFL playoffs.

Loop’s Instagram account has since been flooded with hateful messages weighing in on the season-ending kick in the comments section of a post from months earlier, announcing his engagement to fiancée Julia Otto. Comments on the post are now limited.

"I'm sorry man for the hate u going to get," one person shared.

Commenters told Loop to “Get out of Baltimore,” and “hang up the pads."

“Lamar gave you field position and you end the game like that? Literally kicked the post season straight in the trash,” one commenter wrote.

Loop’s missed field goal allowed the Steelers to claim their first AFC North title in five years with a 26-24 win. The rookie's kick never had a chance, sailing well to the right of the goalposts as the Steelers poured onto the field in somewhat jubilant disbelief.

Loop, who had made 30 of 33 field goals this season before his final kick, placed the blame squarely on his 24-year-old shoulders, saying he “just mishit the ball” and calling the situation “disappointing.”

Baltimore appeared poised to end its longtime rival's season for the second time in 12 months before Loop's kick.

However, some Instagram users came to the kicker’s defense, with multiple commenters telling him to “Keep your head up.”

“It’s crazy all these ravens fans mad because of Tyler Loop when in reality as a team they underperformed throughout the entire season and it cost them the division,” one commenter wrote. “Tyler Loop is human people, calm down.”
