Route 1 Reopens After Crash Near Bel Air: Officials

A crash Tuesday morning closed Belair Road in Harford County to northbound traffic, officials said.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A crash near Bel Air shut down US Route 1 in one direction on Tuesday morning for several hours, according to authorities.

One vehicle crashed on Route 1 north past the intersection with Harford Road, state transportation officials reported. The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m.

Southbound Route 1 remained open.

Route 1 north was closed between Harford Road and MD 24, WBAL reported.

By 10 a.m., the Maryland State Highway Administration said all lanes on Route 1 had reopened.
