Schweppes Ginger Ale Recalled In MD, 2 Other States, FDA Says

Thousands of PepsiCo ginger ale products were voluntarily recalled in Maryland and other states, the FDA said.

MARYLAND — Thousands of Pepsi Co ginger ale products sold to businesses in three states, including Maryland, have been recalled for mistakenly containing sugar in a product that was labeled zero sugar, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The FDA said 230 cases of the sugar- and caffeine-free ginger ale were voluntarily recalled on March 9 for containing sugar.

No injuries or illnesses due to the recalled products have been reported to date.

The recalled products, sold in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia, have the universal product code May 2024 MAY20240520VS02164 – MAY20240550VS02164.

Those who have purchased the recalled products, including those who need to monitor their blood sugar, are instructed to toss them immediately.
