Shed Fire Spreads To Joppatowne Home Displacing Adult, Child, Pets On Thanksgiving

An adult and a child, along with their pets, were displaced by a fire that happened in a shed then spread to a house on Thanksgiving Day.

Crews were called to a home located in the 200 block of Doncaster Road and found a shed on fire that had spread to the home, according to the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

JOPPATOWNE, MD — Shortly before 10 a.m. on Nov. 27, a fire broke out at a property in Joppatowne.

Crews were called to the home located in the 200 block of Doncaster Road and found a shed on fire that had spread to the home, according to the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

All residents and pets were able to evacuate before the fire department arrived and no injuries were reported, officials stated. One adult and one child were displaced and are being assisted by the Harford County Disaster Assistance.

The fire is being investigated by the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
