Police Still Searching For Man Suspected Of Orchestrating Scam Targeting Bel Air Resident

The Harford County Sheriff's Office is still searching for the man suspected of being involved in a scam that targeted a Bel Air resident.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The person involved in a scam that targeted a Bel Air resident is still being sought by the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

The individual allegedly impersonated an employee of a local garage door company and showed up expectedly at a Bel Air home, demanding payment, the sheriff's office said.

"Please remember to always verify someone’s identity when they claim to represent or work for a business or public utility company such as BGE. If something doesn’t feel right, it most likely means it’s a scam. Trust your gut and give us a call to report any suspicious activity," the sheriff's office stated.
