Tornado Warning Downgraded to Watch Monday
A storm capable of producing tornadoes was headed toward Bel Air and Fallston shortly after 3:30 p.m. Monday.
UPDATE: (3:55 p.m.)—With about 10 minutes remaining under a tornado warning, the National Weather Service downgraded the alert for Harford County.
Around 3:30 p.m., the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for central Harford County after a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was spotted near Kingsville.
Bel Air and Fallston were listed as primary areas of impact, according to an alert issued by the weather service. Those in the area were urged to seek shelter immediately by moving to an interior room or the lowest level of a sturdy building, the alert states.

The warning was set to expire at 4 p.m. Monday, but the weather service cancelled it early.
The Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company activated sirens to alert the community to the warning.
