The building is being split to make extra space for Tuesday Morning, and space for a new tenant, according to the Harford County Department of Planning and Zoning.

A worker on site Friday said Planet Fitness will occupy the other half of the renovated space. A spokesman with Planet Fitness corporate office confirmed Monday that a new franchise will be moving into that location.

“Yes indeed, that is a Planet Fitness location,” said John Craig, spokesman for Planet Fitness corporate headquarters.

Craig said the new franchise location is expected to open this spring.

“It’s only a matter of time, weeks at maximum, before they start the pre-sale memberships," Craig said.

These memberships, offered before the the gym's grand opening, are made available at a special discounted price, according to Craig.

Planet Fitness already has one location in Harford County, at 3442 Emmorton Road in Abingdon next to Gabriel Brothers.
