Where: Maryland
Details: A new state law taking effect on Oct. 1 will make driving while talking on a handheld phone a primary offense.

African American Heritage Garden Presentation
When: Thursday, 12:30 p.m.
Where: Hays-Heighe House at Harford Community College
Details: Barbara Melera, owner of D. Landreth Seed Company, will give 
two presentations. Both are free and open to the public.

WXCY Golf Tournament for Harford Family House
When: Friday, 7 a.m.
Where: Geneva Farms Golf Course 
Details: WXCY and Harford Family house team up to “Drive out Homelessness” in Harford County by hosting a Golf Tournament.

Greater Harford Moms Quarter Auction
When: Friday, 7:30 p.m.
Where: 501 Pulaski Highway in Joppa
Details: Paddles are $3 each or 2 for $5.

Harford Walk to End Alzheimer's
When: Saturday, 9 a.m.
Where: Harford County Equestrian Center
