Weekend Events: Kite Festival, Big Band Dance

Check out some of the events planned in Bel Air this weekend.

If you're looking for something to do this weekend look no further than Harford County.

There's a high school drama performance and kite festival in the hopper this weekend, but that's not all that is taking place in and around town. Check out the following events and be sure to add your own to the calendar:

High School Musical presented by Bel Air: The Bel Air High School student actors will take the stage at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday to perform High School Musical. There is also a 2 p.m. matinee showing on Saturday. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. The show will take place in the auditorium of the school, located at 100 Heighe Street in Bel Air.

Bel Air Kite Festival: Kids and adults of all ages are invited to bring their kites out for a day of fun in the sun from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday at the Rockfield Park Ball Fields, located at 501 E. Churchville Road in Bel Air. A rain date has been set for April 14.

Yard Sale Fundraiser: Christ Our King Presbyterian Church is holding a yard sale fundraiser from 8 a.m. until about 1 p.m. on the church grounds, located at 10 Lexington Road in Bel Air. All of the money raised will help pay for the church's Summer mission trip.

Spring Fling Big Band Dance: This inaugural event will feature live music and a cash bar from 7-10 p.m. at the Bel Air Armory, located at 37 N. Main Street in Bel Air. Tickets are $10 per person in advance and $15 per person at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Bel Air Town Hall or by calling 410-638-5323.
