Even though it’s a holiday, not every business will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25. Here’s a look at what’s open and closed around Bel Air.

• Safeway -- Open Dec. 25 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Giant on Emmorton Rd. in Abingdon -- Open on Dec. 25 until 7 p.m.
• Giant at Rock Spring Shopping Center -- Open until 7 p.m. on Dec. 24; closed on Dec. 25
• ShopRite -- Open until 6 p.m. on Dec. 24; closed on Dec. 25
• Weis Markets -- Open until 6 p.m. on Dec. 24; closed on Dec. 25

Entertainment:

• Regal Bel Air Cinema Stadium 14 -- Open all day Dec. 25
• Flagship Cinemas -- Open all day on Dec. 25
• Harford Mall -- Open on Dec. 24 until 6 p.m.; closed on Dec. 25

Town Services: All Bel Air city administrative offices will be closed on Dec. 25 and Dec. 26.

Schools: Harford County public schools close on Dec. 23. Second semester begins on Monday, Jan. 5.

Libraries: All branches of the Harford County Public Library branches are closed from Dec. 24 through Dec. 26.

County Government: All Harford County Government offices closed on Dec. 25 and Dec. 26

Trash and Recycling:

• The Harford County Public Works Department will not offer collection services on Dec. 25 or Dec. 26. The Waste Disposal Center will reopen on Dec. 27.
• Bel Air recycling will be picked up Saturday, Dec. 27.

Transit:

• Harford County bus service will not run on Dec. 25.
• Light Rail service runs on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Dec. 25.
• Local Bus service operates on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Dec. 25.
• Metro Subway operates on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Dec. 25.
• There is no MARC Train service on Dec. 25, and no Camden line service from Dec. 24 through Dec. 26
• MTA Commuter Bus service runs on Dec. 25 on route #201 only. The bus runs on modified service schedules between Dec. 24 and Jan. 2. See Maryland Transit website for route details.
