Harford County Youth Orchestra, String Orchestra Concert For 25th Anniversary Season
The Harford County Youth Orchestra and string orchestra will perform a concert Nov. 23 to celebrate their 25th anniversary season.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The Harford Youth Orchestra and Harford String Orchestra will be celebrating their 25th anniversary season with a fall concert Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. at the Amoss Center.
The concert will be free and open to the public.
The Harford String Orchestra, under the direction of Anne Pape, will present the following works:
“Shadow Fire,” by Randal Standridge; “Adoration,” by Florence Price; “Sinfonia in D,” by Johann
Stamitz; “Canarios,” from Suite Espanola by Gaspar Sanz; “Academic Festival Overture,” by Johannes Brahms; “a word for dreamers,” by Harford County’s own Megan DiGeorgio; and “Dance the Night,” by Lipa, Wyatt, Ronson and Ailin.

Harford Youth Orchestra, under the direction of Brian Folus, will perform “Hopak,” by Modest
Mussorgsky; “Bacchanale,” from Samson and Delilah by Camille Saint-Saens; “John Henry,” by Aaron Copland; “In the Bleak Midwinter,” by Gustav Holst; and “Fanfare for Freedom,” by Paul Barker.
The Amoss Center is located on the Harford Technical High School campus at 200 Thomas Run Road in Bel Air.
