1 Dead After Single-Car Crash In Montgomery County
Montgomery County police said a fatal crash occurred early Tuesday morning in Kensington.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — A man is dead following an early-morning car crash in Montgomery County, according to police.
The crash occurred around 4 a.m. Tuesday near Connecticut Avenue and Adams Drive in Kensington, Montgomery County police said in a news release.
According to authorities, the driver of a yellow 2018 Honda Fit was driving on Connecticut Avenue when he crossed the median into the southbound lanes and struck a utility box and pole.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Pete Piringer said the man suffered traumatic injuries in the crash and had to be extricated from the car after he became trapped.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died, police said. Authorities did not release the victim's name pending notification of family.

Northbound and southbound lanes of Connecticut Avenue were closed following the crash and have since reopened to traffic.
The collision remains under investigation.
