13-Year-Old Girl From Bethesda Missing Since Monday Sought By Police

Montgomery County Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 13-year-old girl from Bethesda.

BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County Police are asking for the public's help in finding 13-year-old Jayleen Chavez of Bethesda, according to a news release.

Chavez was last seen on Monday at about 1:20 p.m. in the 10300 block of Strathmore Hall Street in Bethesda, police said.

Chavez is about 5-feet tall and weighs 110 pounds. She has brown eyes, brown hair and a piercing in her nose. She was last seen wearing a gray sweater and blue, black and gray cargo pants and carrying a blue backpack.

Anyone with information about Chavez's location is asked to call the 24-hour police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 or the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400. Callers may remain anonymous.
