Arc’teryx To Open First Stand-Alone Apparel Store In MD

Arc'teryx, an apparel and outdoor gear company carried by REI, Dick's and Nordstrom, plans to open its first stand-alone store in Maryland.

BETHESDA, MD — Arc’teryx — the maker of high-end apparel and outdoor equipment carried by REI, Dick’s and Nordstrom — plans to open its first stand-alone store in Maryland, according to multiple reports.

The Canadian company known for its technical jackets, parkas and climbing gear "is popular with winter sports enthusiasts but also super-hot with Gen Z," wrote Store Reporter.

The MoCo Show reported that Arc’teryx will be located at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda and is expected to open in the fall.

The name Arc’teryx comes from the Archaeopteryx, an ancient fossil that’s considered to be a link between dinosaurs and birds.

Arc’teryx is carried locally by REI, Dick’s and Nordstrom.

In the DMV there are two Arc’teryx locations in Washington, D.C., and a store at Tysons Corner.
