Gunman Takes Car from Victim Who Had Just Parked in Chevy Chase, DC

The vehicle was stolen at gunpoint from a Chevy Chase, DC, neighborhood.

A suspect armed with a handgun robbed a victim Wednesday night of money, keys and a vehicle, just after the victim had parked the vehicle in Chevy Chase, DC, according to DC's Metropolitan Police Department.

The robbery took place at about 9:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of Broad Branch Road in Upper Northwest DC, just a few blocks from the border of DC and Chevy Chase, MD, police reported.

After the suspect—described as male—stole the victim's keys at gunpoint, the suspect got in the victim's vehicle and fled from the scene. No injuries were reported, police said. 

DC's Metropolitan Police Department asks that anyone with information about the crime call the police at 202-727-9099, police added.
