Arrest Made In Shootings Between 2 Groups Outside Bethesda Business
Shots fired in late March outside Bowlero Bethesda led to the recent arrest of one man, Montgomery County police said Tuesday.
BETHESDA, MD — A man faces a gun charge and other criminal counts after two groups fired shots at each other outside Bowlero Bethesda in late March, Montgomery County Police said Tuesday. No injuries were reported from the standoff.
Devon Edwards, 22, of an unknown address, was arrested for his role in a shooting that occurred shortly after midnight on March 29, 2025, outside Bowlero Bethesda in the 5300 block of Westbard Avenue, a police news release said.
Officers found multiple shell casings at the site in March. Detectives reviewed the surveillance footage of the business and determined two groups exchanged gunfire there.

Edwards was identified as one of the suspects who shot a firearm.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant against Edwards, charging him with first-degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, reckless endangerment and conspiracy to commit malicious destruction of property.

On May 23, Edwards was taken into custody by the Metropolitan Police Department on the outstanding arrest warrant and taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.
