Shows held by localCOLOR have featured the works of 16 artists and have been held in residences and galleries as well as outdoors at the Brookmont Market in Bethesda and the Streetsense Market in D.C.
In November 2021, localCOLOR invited Jim Huizinga, a local artist, to participate in its inaugural show. Huizinga brought 20 bowls and platters that he crafted by hand. Two days later, 90 percent of the bowls had found new homes.
“We hope to encourage other emerging artists to join us in our localCOLOR endeavor,” Dane said.
