Bethesda Double Stabbing Suspect Sought By Montgomery County Police

BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County police released surveillance video in connection with the stabbing of two men on Cordell Avenue in Bethesda on Jan. 14.

The two men were stabbed during a large fight in the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 14, police said. Detectives released the surveillance video on Friday and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

The fight began around 2 a.m. on Jan. 14 outside the La Catrina Bar and Lounge in the 4900 block of Cordell Avenue.

At about 2:10 a.m., as one of the victims was leaving the business, he was struck by an unknown suspect, causing him to fall to the ground. While on the ground, a second suspect joined, and both suspects began to strike the victim. When the victim attempted to get to a safe location, he observed a stab wound to his side.

The second victim, upon leaving the business, saw a group of people fighting and attempted to intervene when he was stabbed in the back.

Detectives said they reviewed surveillance video and obtained a description of the suspect believed to be responsible for stabbing both victims.
