Bethesda Fine Arts Festival Returns To Downtown With 100 Artists

BETHESDA, MD — The Bethesda Urban Partnership is sponsoring the 18th annual Bethesda Fine Art Festival, a two-day festival in May that will include the works of more than 100 contemporary artists, live entertainment and food from local restaurants.

The festival will take place on Saturday, May 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sunday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Established by Montgomery County in 1994, the Bethesda Urban Partnership manages the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District and the nonprofit art spaces, Gallery B, Studio B and Triangle Arts Studios.

The festival will take place rain or shine in Bethesda's Woodmont Triangle, along Norfolk, Auburn and Del Ray Avenues. Admission to the festival is free and free parking will be available in the public parking garage on Auburn and Del Ray Avenues.

Artists will have the opportunity to sell original fine art and crafts, including original paintings, drawing, photography, furniture, jewelry, woodwork and ceramics.

Participating restaurants — Bethesda Curry Kitchen, Dog Haus Biergarten and The Red Bandana — will sell food and drinks, including beer and wine. This year’s live entertainment will include Sara Jones, The Walkaways, Carley Harvey, Wes Tucker & The Skillets, Eric Scott, Jay Byrd and Jarreau Williams.

Kitchen Saver and The Phoenix Group of Compass are serving as event sponsors.
