Bethesda Hosts 5th Annual Film Festival
Five films have been selected from local filmmakers for the fifth annual Bethesda Film Festival on Mar 17 & 18.
From The City Of Bethesda: The fifth annual Bethesda Film Fest will feature five short documentaries made by local filmmakers.
Films will be screened on Friday, March 17 at 7pm; Saturday, March 18 at 6pm and 8pm at Imagination Stage, 4908 Auburn Avenue in downtown Bethesda. The same five films will be shown at each of the three screenings, and each screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers.

- Charlie & Sam - by Ben Powell and Taylor Powell
- The Culture of Collards - by Vanina Harel and Aditi Desai
- Encaustic - by Joe Dzikiewicz and Jaclyn O'Laughlin
- Frogman - by Tyler Trumbo
- The Sandman - by Lauren Knapp
The evening will include a discussion with the filmmakers after the screenings. Tickets are available at for $10. Remaining tickets will be sold at the door.

Films were chosen by the Bethesda Film Fest selection panel, consisting of award-winning documentary filmmakers Sam Hampton, co-founder of Docs In Progress and Hampton Consulting & Film; Chithra Jeyaram, Founder and Creative Director of Real Talkies production company and Robin Smith, Founder and President of production company Video/Action.
