Bethesda's Winter Wonderland To Feature Singing, Live Ice Sculpting
Bethesda's Winter Wonderland, an event to kick off the holiday season, is coming to downtown Bethesda on Saturday, Dec. 3.
BETHESDA, MD — Bethesda’s Winter Wonderland, an event to kick off the holiday season, is coming to downtown Bethesda on Saturday, Dec. 3.
The celebration will feature choral performances, a live ice sculpting presentation, and a special appearance from Santa Claus from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The public will also get to enjoy holiday treats, children’s crafts from Imagination Stage, and face painting.
The free event, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 3, will be held in the Bethesda Streetery, at the corner of Norfolk and St. Elmo Avenues.

As part of the event, blocks of ice will be transformed into wintry works of art during a live ice sculpting presentation from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Choral performances will be performed from 2 p.m. to 4pm by students from these schools: Academy of the Holy Cross, Chevy Chase Elementary, Our Lady of Lourdes, Stone Ridge School, Walter Johnson High School and Whitman High School.

Food and beverages will be sold by Bethesda restaurants, and donations will be collected by Sgt. Jack Hettchen Jr, Detachment (1428) Marine Corps League for Toys for Tots.
