BETHESDA, MD — BGR, the burger chain that offers big hamburgers and thick milkshakes, has permanently closed its location in downtown Bethesda, Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row reported Thursday.

The restaurant, at 4827 Fairmont Ave., opened in 2008. Local taco chain Surfside will move into the BGR space in Bethesda, according to the report.

BGR’s restaurants in Germantown, Arlington, Reston, Springfield and other D.C. area locations will remain open, Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row reported.
