Bethesda commuters will need to prepare for a 34-week closure of the bus bay at the Bethesda Metro station, according to the Bethesda Regional Services center.
The temporary closure will begin sometime this summer, according to a posting on the RSC’s Facebook page. The closure was spurred by repairs that need to be made to the private garage beneath the bus bay.
A Metro spokesman confirmed the closure and said that all of the bus stops within the bus bay will need to be relocated. Metro officials are currently working out a plan for re-locating the bus stops and a schedule, and will notify the public when the plans are finalized.
