Chevy Chase Man Dead After Accidental Drowning: Police
Police say a 33-year-old man from Chevy Chase jumped off the Spa Creek Bridge in Annapolis early Friday morning.
BETHESDA, MD — A Chevy Chase man has drowned after jumping off the Spa Creek Bridge in Annapolis early Friday morning, authorities said.
Annapolis police have identified the man as 33-year-old John Grider. They have ruled his death an accidental drowning.
Officials believe Grider jumped off the bridge just before 1:30 a.m. on Friday. The U.S. Coast Guard, as well as the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County fire departments, responded to the scene and recovered his body.
