Claire de Lune, a sleepwear boutique, is now open in downtown Bethesda, Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row reported Tuesday.

BETHESDA, MD — Claire de Lune, a sleepwear boutique, is now open in downtown Bethesda, Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row reported Tuesday.
The new shop, at 4925 Elm Street in the Shoppes of Bethesda, is located in the space previously occupied by GNC at the Shoppes of Bethesda, according to the report.
Claire de Lune was founded more than 15 years ago in Lima, Peru, according to the company's website. Carmen Glaser, the company’s founder, wanted to improve people’s sleep by crafting the finest sleepwear in the world with Peruvian Pima Cotton.

The company's name was inspired by the classical masterpiece, composed by Claude Debussy, “Clair de Lune.” Glaser wanted her clients to feel like they were "sleeping on clouds," the company's website says.
