Congressional Country Club Hosts World's Top Women Golfers
Congressional Country Club is hosting another major golf tournament as the top women's players converge on the newly restored Blue course.
POTOMAC, MD — Congressional Country Club is hosting another major golf tournament as the top women’s players in the world converge on the country club’s newly restored Blue course for the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.
As the rain clears out, course conditions for the KPMG Women's PGA Championship will likely play long Thursday and Friday, but players should be able to aim directly for the pin as they hit many blind approaches to the soggy greens.
By the weekend, as the weather heats up, the course will likely play shorter, but players may need to aim for the bigger part of the green to allow the ball to check up.

First held in 1955, the Women's PGA Championship is one of five majors on the LPGA Tour. American golfer Nelly Korda is the tournament's defending champion.
