BETHESDA, MD — Authorities have released surveillance photos of a suspect they say robbed a 7-Eleven in Bethesda earlier this month.

Around 6:09 a.m. on Dec. 19, Montgomery County police responded to the 7-Eleven located at 5114 River Rd. for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

An investigation by detectives determined that the suspect approached a female employee, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash.

Police said the suspect may have fled the area in a Chevrolet sedan that was parked in front of the store.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call detectives at 240-773-5100. Anonymous tipsters can contact the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online. Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
