Coronavirus Cases Up By 0.4% In Montgomery County
Montgomery County saw a 0.4 percent increase in coronavirus cases overnight. Here are the latest numbers for June 23.

BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County's coronavirus case count increased by 63 — or 0.4 percent — since Monday, bringing the total number of positive infections to 14,204.
Overnight, two more people died from COVID-19. The local death toll now stands at 685.
Another 40, health officials believe, had the disease but died without ever getting tested. "Probable deaths," as they're called, aren't included in the official fatality count until they are confirmed by a laboratory test.

Montgomery County — which is home to roughly 1.1 million residents — has the highest number of deaths in the state. It also has the second highest number of confirmed cases, after Prince George's County, which has 18,080, according to the latest figures.
Statewide, there are 65,007 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 2,963 fatalities. Another 129 have been classified as "probable deaths."

The number of coronavirus hospitalizations is now 561. Of that, 212 are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
