Fall into Art this Autumn
Renew yourself, embark on a creative outlet and let your imagination fly by taking a class with noted artist & art educator, Vian Borchert.
Ah, the Fall crisp air, Can you feel it swaying our way?
And just like that, we are falling into Fall. The leaves are slowly turning yellow and some are preparing for fall and renewal. Renewal doesn't have to be only for trees and vegetation around us, it can occur also within us. Renewing ourselves, dusting out the old and allowing the new to bring us life in so many ways. Fall seems like the appropriate season for such a change. A back to school time, a moment of reflection of how to proceed in refreshing our souls, minds and bodies. One of the best ways to explore this sense of rejuvenation and renewal is by venturing into a creative hobby, or a creative outlet so to speak. Allowing oneself to explore our creative mind and delve into our imagination via art-making is key for a healthy mental growth. Taking an art class can do the job. For this Fall, renowned artist and art educator Vian Borchert is offering two beginner and intermediate level classes that will help the budding artist within you to express oneself and be in touch with your creative self. Borchert's Watercolor painting class is a popular course that guides the students step by step to learn the needed skills for creating skilled watercolor paintings. From learning how to mix colors to applying paint with an array of brushes along with layering glazes of paint to achieve pleasant results. This class opens the eyes to the wonders of the watercolor medium and how such a transparent medium can be lots of fun as well as rewarding in a meditative way. The class is held on Monday mornings at the Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo Park, Glen Echo, MD. Here is the registration link and further description for the course.
