Families Displaced After Car Slams Into Bethesda Apartments

Three families were displaced after a car crashed into a Bethesda apartment complex and caused significant damage, officials said.

BETHESDA, MD — Three families were displaced after a car crashed into a Bethesda apartment complex Monday night, police said.

The SUV slammed into The Fields apartment complex at 7001 Clarendon Rd. The crashed caused significant damage and the two-story building was evacuated, spokesperson Pete Piringer said.

The adult female driver was extricated from the vehicle, officials said. She was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Seven people were displaced after officials deemed their apartments unsafe to occupy after the crash, Piringer said.
