Girl Power Contest Deadline Extended: Here's How To Apply
Montgomery County residents, ages 5 to 105, can submit short stories, poems, or drawings. The new deadline is June 26.
BETHESDA, MD — The deadline to submit entries for the annual Girl Power Contest has been extended through June 26, due to the ongoing pandemic.
Led by the Montgomery County Commission for Women, the competition invites residents to submit a poem, short story, or drawing that addresses the following question: What barriers do you think still exist for women and girls and how can you help to break them?
Submissions don't all have to be serious, according to the commission. Entries can be emotional, funny, and even spiritual.
