A Grand Opening at The Grandview!
The new community's first residence building, Potomac Heights, offers a grand welcome to residents and visitors of The Grandview

As soon as it was announced that The Grandview, a new Erickson Senior Living community, was coming to the site of the former Marriott International headquarters in Bethesda, Md., the excitement began.
Now, that excitement is palpable, as The Grandview recently celebrated its grand opening! In fact, residents are already enjoying luxurious retirement living in the company's first high-rise community.
"On-site amenities, such as the fitness center and restaurants, are bustling with activity, and clubs started by Priority List members are meeting frequently," says George Mishraky, The Grandview's sales director. "The community is so lively and vibrant!"

Moving on up
In Potomac Heights, the first building to welcome residents, warm hellos echo in the hallways. Residents on the lower floors began moving in first, and residents on the higher floors continue to move in.

Mishraky notes that The Grandview retained a professional logistics manager to ensure the move-in process would be seamless.
"They communicate with our move-in coordinator, our sales and operations teams, new residents, and the various moving companies," he explains. "We wanted this process to be as smooth as possible for residents."
New homes coming
Woodmont Terrace, the second building coming to The Grandview, is scheduled to open later this year--and Mishraky anticipates a wave of new prospective residents.
"Once residents start having their friends over to visit and see their spacious homes, we anticipate even more people will want to move to The Grandview," he says.
The Dupont, a large one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath home with a den and balcony, and the Waverly, a two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home with a den and two balconies, are the two most popular floor plans.
A wealth of amenities
Residents are already embracing active, social lifestyles by taking advantage of the many on-site amenities, including the Life Enrichment Center, which can be converted to two indoor pickleball courts.
The fitness center, boasting top-of-the-line equipment and space for classes such as yoga, tai chi, Pilates, and Zumba, not only helps residents stay in shape but also provides opportunities to make new friends. The indoor pool is popular among those who want to do laps or participate in water aerobics.
When spring arrives, residents will be able to enjoy the on-site urban park's serene gardens and outdoor fitness equipment, as well as a playground area for when grandchildren come to visit. The enclosed dog park is perfect for taking four-legged friends for a walk and meeting other pet parents. The Grandview also features a walking trail that circles the entire campus.
Other outdoor amenities include a pavilion for hosting outdoor events as well as common areas equipped with tables, umbrellas, fire pits, and chairs for relaxation and leisure.
Delicious dining
In addition to fitness and outdoor amenities, The Grandview offers a variety of on-site restaurants.
Crescent Overlook, situated on The Grandview's main level, offers an innovative menu and natural decor that pays homage to the lush, seven-mile Capital Crescent Trail, which runs from Washington, D.C., to Bethesda.
Named after the beautiful avenue connecting Bethesda to our nation's capital, West of Wisconsin pairs modern, fast-casual dining with the rich history of our region's thoroughfare.
Mishraky says that another dining option will be available to residents this month--The View at 140th, a fine dining restaurant with a rooftop wine bar and outdoor seating, including upholstered chairs and sofas for lounging.
Making new friends
Thanks to the numerous social and informational events organized by the sales team, Priority List members had plenty of opportunities to meet their future neighbors and make new friends.
"Last summer, we hosted several 'floor parties,' where we invited people who would live on the same floor so that they could meet their neighbors," says Mishraky. "Everyone was having great conversations. So many people exchanged information."
Now, those connections and friendships are stronger than ever.
"Everyone is so excited to be here and call The Grandview home," says Mishraky. "For them, retirement is all about staying active and fostering connections."
