The Grandview Celebrates Grand Opening in Bethesda, Maryland
Erickson Senior Living's newest community in Bethesda, MD, celebrates its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Grandview, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Bethesda, Maryland, celebrated its grand opening on December 4 with a ceremonial ribbon cutting and reception attended by residents, team members, and local community leaders.
The Grandview becomes Erickson Senior Living’s fourth community in Maryland, expanding the organization’s ability to meet the growing demand for senior living options across the state and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
“Our vision for The Grandview has always been clear: create a place where residents feel supported, inspired, and truly at home,” said Executive Director Will Nance. “We look forward to watching this community grow and thrive.”

Several members of the Erickson Senior Living corporate leadership team attended the event, including Chief Executive Officer Alan Butler, Chief Operating Officer Gregg Colon, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Tom Neubauer, Chief Development Officer Sean Sands, and Executive Vice President Chris Emmett. Rev. Dr. Zina Jacque, National Senior Communities Director and Board Chair, and Scott Sawicki, Executive Director, were also present for the ceremony.

It stands as a testament to the talent and hard work of our teams across Erickson Senior Living,” said Chief Executive Officer Alan Butler. “This community embodies our long-standing vision of cultivating communities where residents, team members, neighbors, and families can thrive.”

Local dignitaries also participated in the celebration, including State Senator Sara Love, and Delegates Mark Korman, Sarah Wolek, and Teresa Woorman.
Residents began moving into their new homes on November 17, with move-ins continuing into the new year.
“For us, The Grandview represents more than a new address—it’s a community where we can keep learning, connecting, and sharing passions with incredible neighbors,” said Jim Silva and Leon Nisenfeld, among the first residents to move to the new community. “We’re thrilled to be part of this beginning and look forward to the friendships, opportunities, and adventures that await.”
Situated on a scenic 33-acre campus, The Grandview’s first building, Potomac Heights, consists of 245 one- and two-bedroom residences. Woodmont Terrace, the community’s second building slated to open next year, will add 243 homes.
Residences at The Grandview feature open floor plans and offer a variety of high-end finishes, including stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, full-size washers and dryers, crown molding, closets with wood shelving, and underbuilding parking.
Potomac Heights offers an all-season fitness and aquatics center, outdoor terrace, bocce court, top-floor restaurant and wine bar, urban park, card and game room, salon, barbershop, and spa, as well as a variety of dining options. Woodmont Terrace will provide additional amenities for the entire community.
Erickson Senior Living is nationally recognized by industry experts for its innovative designs and high-quality construction. The other Erickson Senior Living communities in Maryland are Charlestown in Catonsville, Oak Crest in Parkville, and Riderwood in Silver Spring.
For The Grandview, Whiting-Turner is the general contractor, and Hord Coplan Macht is the architect.
