History Of Bethesda Highlighted In Art At New Exhibition At Gallery B
An exhibition of the artwork of Anna Rose Soevik called "Living in Bethesda" will be on display at Gallery B starting on Oct. 13.

BETHESDA, MD — An exhibition of the artwork of Anna Rose Soevik, a U.K.-born artist whose lived in Bethesda for 25 years, called "Living in Bethesda" will be on display at Gallery B starting on Oct. 13.
“Living in Bethesda” draws attention to notable figures and moments in Bethesda’s history, such as Clara Barton's contributions through the Red Cross and the significant role of Bethesda's National Institutes of Health during COVID-19.
The artwork will be exhibited from Oct. 13 to Nov. 5, with an opening reception on Friday, Oct. 13 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Soevik, a graduate in fine arts from Ravensbourne University in London, has held solo exhibitions in Copenhagen, Brussels, The Hague and New York, and boasts a win at the Brussels International Art Fair.
More recently, Soevik has been creating large pieces for public spaces, including six Busboys and Poets locations and large-scale murals in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

The Bethesda Urban Partnership Inc. manages the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District, as well as Gallery B. Gallery hours for the show are Friday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Gallery B is located at 7700 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite E in Bethesda.
