Home Under Construction Catches Fire
No one inured in Thursday afternoon blaze on West Virginia Avenue.

About 45 firefighters responded to a fire at a home under construction in the 4700 block of West Virginia Avenue in Bethesda Thursday afternoon.
The home wasn't occupied, though several contractors were at the site, said Capt. Oscar Garcia, a spokesman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue. No one was injured in the blaze.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue responded around 12:45 p.m. to a report of smoke in the top floor of the two-story, single-family home, Garcia said. Responders discovered fire in the second floor and the attic.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the bulk of the flames, but were still searching for hot spots in the attic's insulation shortly after 2 p.m., Garcia said.
