Little Falls Parkway Closed Due to Flooding
Residents advised to take alternate routes.
Update, Sunday, Aug. 28, 7:30a.m.: The Little Falls Parkway remains closed to traffic.
Original post, Saturday, Aug. 27: Little Falls Parkway is closed due to Hurricane Irene-related flooding, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue report, per the Maryland-National Capital Park Police.
Beach Drive and Sligo Creek Parkway from University Boulevard to New Hampshire Avenue are also closed because of flooding. All three roadways were closed to motorists around 1:30p.m. Saturday, MCFRS reports.
