Man Dead Following 2-Car Crash In Montgomery County

Police said the crash happened shortly after 3:20 a.m. on Wednesday.

BURTONSVILLE, MD — A man is dead following a two-car crash in Montgomery County on Wednesday morning.

Police said the crash happened shortly after 3:20 a.m. in the area of Sandy Spring and McKnew Roads.

When police and fire crews arrived at the scene, police found the man inside a red 2007 Honda CR-V. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man driving a gray 2024 Honda CR-V was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police did not provide details on what led to the crash. The collision remains under investigation. Authorities will also release the victim's name following notification of family.
