Wisconsin Avenue to Close Jan. 28 in Bethesda
Drivers should follow posted detour route of Battery Lane, Woodmont Avenue and Cordell Avenue.
From MDOT: Beginning at 9 a.m. this Saturday, January 28, Traffic Engineering Services will close all lanes on southbound MD 355 (Wisconsin Avenue) between Cordell Avenue and Battery Lane in Bethesda to hoist equipment onto the roof at 8200 Wisconsin Avenue. All traffic lanes should reopen by 9 p.m. Saturday night.
Drivers should follow posted detour route of Battery Lane, Woodmont Avenue and Cordell Avenue. Various phases of the crane work may be disruptive. Traffic Engineering Services will safely direct pedestrian traffic around the work zone. Pedestrians will be directed to signalized crossings on the opposite side of the road during all phases of work for safety reasons.
